NaNoWriMo Starts!

Holy crap, I've decided to go for it. Of course, I'm procrastinating right this very moment by blogging instead of working on the bloody novel...

I've decided to be a NaNo Rebel this year and return to my comedic/chickish-lit story Making Mary Jingle (Nano 2007 - lost miserably at somewhere around 10k) because it's fun and I didn't realise just how funny I found it. My counter is back to zero, but I'm not chucking out any of my previous work, just adding/finishing it (hopefully) - hence the "Rebel" bit.

Spouse is out, dog's asleep and I really have no excuse. Need to figure out a good time to do this during my normal working days (yay for personal days off!) because I just refuse to get a divorce for the month of Novemeber.

Current word count: 536 (sad, really)

New Year, New Art

So...wow. New digs (so long Vox!) and a more focused-plan to produce some art on a regular basis. I don't know how to reconcile that with my crazy, too-many-mandatory-hours-straight-job, but the urge to draw and paint and write is getting insanely...well, insane.

Plenty of things have gone on this year - most of them being less than happy - and I think I really need to take more time for myself, hence the desire for creation.

Maybe I'm just aching to switch gears again.

October is coming and I hope to have some pretties for the new year - maybe someone besides myself will like them, too. That would be nice.
